What it does

LSet takes string (a string) and length (an integer), and answers a string. That is the first of 2 forms.

Syntax

1
LSet(string string, length integer) → string
2
LSet(string string, length integer, character string) → string

Parameters

NameTypeIn forms
stringstringall
lengthintegerall
characterstring2

Every form returns

string

Example · generated

Form 1, the short one

DO  Print(LSet("hello", 1))  Sync()LOOP

Form 2, with every argument

DO  Print(LSet("hello", 1, "value"))  Sync()LOOP

LSet is called and its answer is printed every frame. The DO … LOOP is not decoration: a classic BASIC program ends the moment it runs out of lines, and Sync() is what draws the frame.
