SetMemblockString

Family: Memblock · One form

What it does

SetMemblockString sets String on a Memblock object. It takes memID (an integer), offset (an integer) and value (a string), and returns nothing. memID is the id of a memblock, the one CreateMemblock returned: it is how the call knows what to act on.

Syntax

SetMemblockString(memID integer, offset integer, value string)

Parameters

NameType
memIDinteger

Every form returns

nothing

Example · generated

memblock = CreateMemblock(64)SetMemblockString(memblock, 1, "value")DO  Sync()LOOP

CreateMemblock is there to give the call something to act on; SetMemblockString is the line that matters. The DO … LOOP is not decoration: a classic BASIC program ends the moment it runs out of lines, and Sync() is what draws the frame.
