ObjectMeshCastShadow

Family: Studio · One form

What it does

ObjectMeshCastShadow takes objID (an integer), meshIndex (an integer) and mode (an integer), and returns nothing. objID is the id of a 3D object, the one LoadObject returned: it is how the call knows what to act on.

Syntax

ObjectMeshCastShadow(objID integer, meshIndex integer, mode integer)

Parameters

NameType
objIDinteger
meshIndexinteger

Every form returns

nothing

Example · generated

object = LoadObject("assets/media.obj")mesh = CreateObjectFromObjectMesh(1, 1)ObjectMeshCastShadow(object, mesh, 1)DO  Sync()LOOP

LoadObject and CreateObjectFromObjectMesh are there to give the call something to act on; ObjectMeshCastShadow is the line that matters. The DO … LOOP is not decoration: a classic BASIC program ends the moment it runs out of lines, and Sync() is what draws the frame.
