TextShadow

Family: Studio · One form

What it does

TextShadow takes iTextIndex (an integer), offsetX (a float), offsetY (a float), blur (a float) and iAlpha (an integer), and returns nothing. iTextIndex is the id of a Text object, the one CreateText returned: it is how the call knows what to act on.

Syntax

TextShadow(iTextIndex integer, offsetX float, offsetY float, blur float, iAlpha integer)

Parameters

NameType
iTextIndexinteger

Example · generated

text = CreateText("hello")TextShadow(text, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0, 255)DO  Sync()LOOP

CreateText is there to give the call something to act on; TextShadow is the line that matters. The DO … LOOP is not decoration: a classic BASIC program ends the moment it runs out of lines, and Sync() is what draws the frame.
