Trim

Family: String · 2 forms

What it does

Trim takes string (a string), and answers a string. That is the first of 2 forms.

Syntax

1
Trim(string string) → string
2
Trim(string string, character string) → string

Parameters

NameTypeIn forms
stringstringall
characterstring2

Every form returns

string

Example · generated

Form 1, the short one

DO  Print(Trim("hello"))  Sync()LOOP

Form 2, with every argument

DO  Print(Trim("hello", "value"))  Sync()LOOP

Trim is called and its answer is printed every frame. The DO … LOOP is not decoration: a classic BASIC program ends the moment it runs out of lines, and Sync() is what draws the frame.
